 most western side of Singapore
Tuas. Tht's where it is & you peeps must be wondering why i went there right? Well was kinda dragged in by my camp mate 2 do some "Sai Kang" for my unit, which involves travelling all way 2 tht place. Goin g for it has its good & bad points. Good thing being i get 2 get out of camp 2 take a breather & tht it kinda took up my entire day, allowing me 2 escape frm workshop as well as being arrowed 2 do tis & tht. Ok, i knw it sounds contradicting since i was being arrowed 2 do tis. bad thing is tht i had 2 carry loads of stuff under hot weather which meant tht i perspired like shit while doing so. I suffered injury frm it as well, due 2 reckless driving.

Alright, reason i was there was simple, it was 2 dump all unwanted stuff my camp was throwing away due 2 a Logistics Readiness Inspection (LRI) tht is coming up & incinerating it. Yup, tht means tht i was at incineration plant at Tuas. It was an eye opener for me since i've nvr been 2 an incineration plant & to such a western part of Singapore. Tuas is really a place full of factories wth temperatures higher than normal i tell ya, at least tht's wat i think. I guess it's becauz of lack of greeneries tht's why higher temperature. Tht aside, incineration plant was 7 storeys high (as wat i've been told), wth 2 huge chimneys reaching high up into sky. place was pretty stinky too, since almost anything & everything was being dumped there, frm rubbish to tyres to furnitures to scrap metals etc.

Shall describe how inside looks like 2 best of my ability, since i'm not really very good in describing: Upon driving up 2 dumping place & registration, we went into one of bays where vehicle cld be parked. bays all lead 2 a common dumping place, which was like a rectangular pit tht was pretty deep. All we need 2 do was 2 push everything out of tunnel, back facing pit & they will automatically drop into it. Totally enjoyed dumping all stuff tht we loaded onto 5 tonne tunnel, it was like venting our anger while we were doing so. It took us a very short time to dump everything as compared 2 loading up. While loading stuff was a hassle, dumping them was a breeze. H/e, was pretty afraid initially cauz once you fall into pit, i don't think you wld ever get a chance 2 get out. Fortunately, they did provide us wth detachable safety waist bands, for us 2 hook onto our vehicle 2 prevent us frm falling into pit

Oh & did you knw tht we wld actually hve 2 pay 2 dump watever we want 2 there, depending on how heavy load is? For my case, we paid $145, which i thought was pretty expensive. Think SAF really knws how 2 waste money man. There are actually certain things tht cld be sold 2 Karang Guni 2 earn a little bit of money, instd of jus throwing it away & having 2 pay in order 2 do so. Think they cld hve save up tht amt of money 2 increase pay, instd of wasting it away like tht. Am very tired right now, wld be heading to bed now since there's nothing much 2 do. 2 more days 2 go......
