Suddenly feel tht my work is really very boring & a waste of time. Mayb it's becauz of the off day tht i had, which made me realise tht i cld have done something more constructive other than working. Or mayb it's becauz of the A Lvl results. Made quite a few mistakes while working, which really made me pissed off at myself. Feeling really very pessimistic right now as i see those mistakes as a warning tht i may not do well for my A's. Doesn't sound logical right? But seriously don't knw why i think of it tht way. Guess i'm jus thinking too much. Anyway, decided to keep as quiet as possible while working with my Outlet Manager. Really can't communicate with "him" at all. "He" once mention during our meeting tht there was one of us who wasn't really performing very well, in terms of staff performance. Wondering whether it's me, since he doesn't really like me at all. But what the hell, will be quitting quite soon so why shld i bother so much abt it? Hehez. Oh yah, called thru to Carrie, hehez, but didnt knw what song to dedicate. Guess it's one of my hobby tht i picked up during my exams period when i'm bored.
Yeah, feelin real great now, cauz i went swimmin at Gavin's place & got a tan. Not a very dark one though, jus avge. Guess i shld head to the pool more often, to get more tanned. But laziness always gets in my way. If were to live in a condo like Gavin, then i won't mind going down everyday to swim & to get a tan. That is if & only if. After tht, Zongyao & Gavin dyed their D.I.Y style. Poor Gavin had to do it by himself, while he did it for Zongyao.Gavin's bro then drove us to look at fishes since they wanted to buy some stuff for their fish tanks, as well as to have dinner. Oh yah, saw Gavin's fish tank, it was really very nice. Nice job man Gavin, guess u really put in alot of effort. Keep it up! Saw these small puffer fishes at the fish shop, which was kinda cute. They r not like those found on documentary shows wth spikes & stuff, jus small, tiny, little cute ones. Ate dinner at this place in Geylang, where Gavin & his bro highly recommend it's Hokkien Mee. I didn't order it cauz i need to go back for dinner, since my mum told me this morning tht my father wld be cooking Beef Hor Fun. As u knw larhz, i seldom get to eat my father's cookings, although he is a chef. But i did took a spoonful of the Hokkien Mee though. Must say it tastes pretty nice but it was quite oily cauz they put pig's oil (zhu you) in it. After tht, went to look at fishes again at another place. They bought quite a few fishes to add on to their collection, no wonder they were quite broke. Went home after tht & had a wonderful dinner. The Beef Hor Fun tht my dad cooked was fantastic. In addtion, i got to drink a little shark fin's soup. It's different frm wat restaurants normally sell, quite tasty but i can't take too much of it since i will get very sicked of it after a few sips.
Signzzzz, the O Lvl results r coming out this Fri, which means tht soon after it will be the A's. Have been talking abt it wth a few friends. Personally, i'm quite worried cauz i'm a super pessimistic guy & besides i don't have any confidence at all. Hopefully, i won't be like the time when i received my O's, walking off quietly & went back home. Ok enough of tht, was reading one of my friend's GF blog & got to realise how much she misses my friend, since my friend is in NS now. How sweet....Really touched my heart man. Feelin real happy for my friend, since he's got such a nice GF. Was watching Meet My Folk's while posting this. Scary man, what the guys had to go thru. Lie Detectors lehz....Not easy. If i had to go thru all these, think i will fail all of it man. But think i will never ever hve to go thru this since i won't ever hve a GF to start with. Hahaz..Anyway think i wrote too much, real sorry abt it. Had a sudden urge of writing something. Guess i'm too lor so, really apologise abt it. Shall end here now...hehez...
Boring day as usual, jus went to work & stuff. The only thing tht happened was tht my outlet manager was not please wth one of my working colleagues. Normally we have a meeting before we xchange shifts as a form of communication btwn staff members. So this time round, my outlet manager told us beforehand tht "he" was gonna target "his" comments, indirectly, mostly to tht working colleague of mine, John. Guess he got the msg, since he wasnt as talkative as before. I could see tht he was a little bit upset since he told me tht shortly after i quit, he will be quitting as well. Initially, i thought only the outlet & asst manager were talking behind his back, but i was wrong. Even some of my other colleagues, who seem to enjoy working & joking wth him, were talking behind his back today shortly after the meeting ended. Was quite surprised to see such a thing happen. Guess some of my working colleagues don't like me as well & maybe talking behind my back, jus tht i don't realise it. It's not a good feeling, to have somebody talking behind ur back, siGnz.....all the politics. Hate it man...Anyway think tht's abt it for today, need to go now, haven't bathed yet, need to wake up early tomorrow as well to watch the Grammys. So cyAz....
Alright peeps, finally i'm able to sit down and update my blog, hehez. Let me begin with what happened on Friday. It was my only off day this week. Initially thought i wld be stayin at home to rest, but went out instead, with Gavin. Went to Suntec to collect my specs and felt so stupid, cauz i made a pair of specs that costs me a bomb. But there's nothing much i can do now, it's not refundable hehez. Oh have to thank Gavin for stopping me frm buying the ear hooks at YES, cauz it was really very ex, $3.50 a pair. Thanks alot Gavin, but u were very straightforward by telling tht guy tht it was expensive. Since we had to wait for Zongyao, Zongfu's bro, we decided to catch a show before meetin up with him. Watched Hot Chick, which was quite humurous. Esp the pillow fight part which made laugh till my stomach hurts. It was the one & only part tht really made me laugh actually. Guess the trailer showed too much, that's why it's like i knew what wld happen & stuff. Dinner was at Fish & Co., the one opp. of ps. Think the place was quite nice, though it was kind of noisy. If it were less noisy, the ambience wld be great. Chit chatted & went PS later on to walk ard, afterwhich we went home. That's abt it.
As for yesterday, it was work as usual. It was quite hectic during the late afternoon. The pple jus kept on coming. Was lucky that i was doing the bar section, where i prepared all the drinks. If i were at the kitchen, i think evrythg will be in a mess & i will definitely get anxious & miss out some orders. Oh yah talkin abt tht hectic period, the outlet manager came today during tht time. As usual, he's always nagging & not helping at all. I feel tht he's more of a nuisance than of any help at all. Even my colleagues think so too. This shows his popularity. Anyway had a foreigner customer who was very demanding, which pissed my asst manager & my colleague, John, alot. We didnt hve a sauce tht comes with the sandwich tht he ordered, but he kept insisting tht he wants it. Tried to appease him by giving him a piece of cake instd, but he didnt want to. In the end, my asst manager had to refund him some money. We were actually at fault, since we didnt inform him abt the lack of this sauce initiallly, but it wasn't intentional though, we were jus too busy.
Anyway, it's not really my prob, since i'll be leaving tht place soon. Think there's alot of backstabbing at tht place. People talking behind each others' back all the time. Guess there must be someone who's talking abt me too, jus that i dont realise it. I try not to say too much of another colleague unless i'm super pissed off or feel tht i was being unfairly treated. In most cases, i jus listen to their comments & not say too much, cauz it may get me into trouble. Tht's the last thing that i wld want. Hopefully my next job won't have too much politics involve, otherwise it would be very troublesome. But think it's quite impossible to not have politics in the work place. Alright, guess tht's abt it, wanted to put in more details, but was afraid tht it may bore u guys to death. So decided to cut short and end here instd. Jus to update u guys on what happened for the past few days. On Tues, was quite pissed with my outlet manager cauz she asked me to give out flyers again. The third time since i started work. Was pissed becauz the same gal working with me didnt have to give out flyers this time round. Meaning that the second time i was asked to give out flyers, i was working with the same gal. Would have been fair if the outlet manager had asked her to go instead. In addition, "he" gave me a very stupid reason for going, "he" said that i had a more friendlier face as compared to my female colleague. HuH??? whAt the hell?Besides that nothing much happen, so guess that's abt it. Really damn tired now, after doing all these stuff, dunno why. So ciAoz and nitEz........
Hey peeps, watched Final Destination 2 today after work with Gavin. Was quite surprised that he called me today. Luckily i was still at my work place due to the rain, otherwise i would be on my way home and would not be able to meet him. Anyway, the show was quite gruesome and exaggerating, and saddistic as what Gavin says. Personally, i think it was pretty alright though the storyline was the same as the previous one.
Anyway, went home after that and checked my SAT score.Finally crossed the 1200 mark, but still it's not like a fantastic score. Neveretheless, i wont be taking it again cauz i wld be wasting my mum's money if i did. Oh yah, damn relieved now that she's not angry with me. I do take friendships very seriously, that's why i m like so sad over a small thing as wat most people would think of it. Gotta go, ciAoz, need to work morning shift tomorrow.
Not in the best of mood today. Jus read one of my friend's blog and realise that i really pissed her off that day. She mentioned something which may mean the end of our friendship. Guess i'm not worth to be her friend. Really didn't knw that she took it so seriously, was kidding around. Guess i'm an insensitive guy, feeling really guilty and sad cauz i mayb on the verge of losing a friend. Did send her an email today to apologise. Hopefully she has cooled down after so many days and will send me an email back as a form of forgiveness. If she doesn't, then i'll be terribly sad.
Anyway, Wee Hwa came over to watch the show that i've recorded. Think most prob that it will become a weekly thing, unless i'm working or he's got something on. Afterwhich he went home while i went to meet my mum and aunt, who were at Suntec. My aunt was terribly hungry, so we had dinner first before heading to Your Eye Specialist (YES) to make my pair of plastic specs for NS. My bro was working at Courts Suntec, so he came to join us for dinner. Decided to eat Tony Romas, my 2nd time there, which was quite ex and not filling for me and my bro. The food there wasn't that fantastic as well, don't think i'll be going back there again unless my frens want to.
My bro headed back to work while the rest of us went to YES. Made a pair of specs that costs me almost all of my Hongbao money. Guess u must be thinking that i'm crazy or something but had to tell u that the service there, in terms of helping u check ur eyesight and stuff, was pretty commendable. At least it helped me maintan my eyesight, though the astix increased. Headed back after that and now i'm here updating my blog. Sorry for the long post though cauz i seldom talk abt what i did during my free time. Have been boring u guys with my time spent at work so decided to type something longer and different than the usual. Anyway think i'll end here, crossing my fingers that my friendship with her will still be able to continue on. If not, then i guess i'll be losing many more frens if i make mistakes like that. Feeling really remorse........
Heyoz peeps, i'm back again. Nothing much happened yesterday, except for the fact that 2 of my frens came by to visit me as well as to have supper with me. How nice of them man, thanks alot Zewei and Reuben, really appreciate it. Work was boring cauz of the lack of customers. Did my closing very early, which resulted in loads of time to spare. Even had to wait for the clock to strike midnight before i can actually punch out. Oh yah, the outlet manager was very kind today. When my frens came, "he" already closed the cashier, so "he" decided to include the 2 drinks that my frens ordered in today's sales. But after "he" realise that i was treating them, "he" told me that it's ok and i dont need to pay for it. How nice of "him", but still don't really like to work with him cauz of communication breakdown.
So after work, we went to Geylang area to eat the famous Beef Hor Fun as well as the You Tiao Da Wang. The Beef Hor Fun was quite alright, but as for the food at You Tiao Da Wang, i guess the standard dropped. Wasn't as nice as the 1st time when i went to that place. Am quite full now after eating all those stuff. Chit-chat a little, afterwhich we decided to go back. So now i'm here typing this post before heading to bed. Oh yah, having serious trouble with this blog thingy again. Dunno why i dont seem to be able to view my own blog, while my frens are able to see the latest post. Is there something wrong with my com or wat? Can be quite frustrating doing all these HTML stuff man. hAiz.....dunno what to say, hopefully it's something wrong with the server and not my com. That was the call that allowed me to work 6hrs more this week. Since i had nothing to do yesterday, i gladly obliged and went down asap though the pay wasn't double i guess. Think u peeps must be thinking i'm mad since i'm working on a public holiday. But had no choice since i'm working with a company which is stingy or shld i say "niao". Worked the night shift with one of my fav managers and "his" gf, there wasn't many customers so was uite slack as usual. H/e, the couple did quarrel yesterday, while we were closing the cafe. I feel kind of guilty abt it, cauz i indirectly cauz them to quarrel. Honestly speaking, i feel i'm like a jinx or sth. Whenever i'm wth a couple, they tend to end up quarreling, which i'm very afraid to see it happen. So those who knw me, better not bring ur gf out when u go out with me, otherwise u might end up quarreling wth her, hehe. Anyway worked back-to-back again, which was very tiring cauz today it was quite hectic. Had lunch only at 2pm, cauz the crowd keep coming. Was quite blur too, due to the lack of sleep, all thanx to the mosquitoes that keep stinging me.
Anyway, besides indirectly causing tht couple to quarrel, i happened to make someone angry online as well, the day before yesterday. Guess i was too insensitive to her feelings, didnt knw she would take it so seriously. So jus wanna apologise to Shuqin here, hope she'll forgive me. Really sorry abt it. Well guess that's abt it, gonna watch my 2 music award shows now. TaTaz...
Quite a hectic day today, a sudden flood of customers during lunch time due to the rain i guess. The morning sales was double that of other normal days. Luckily, we didnt mess up any orders and that operational manager wasn't around when the crowd came flooding in. He did come in the morning though but we kinda ignored him, especially one of my colleagues. Guess nobody likes him haha. Oh Leslie Kwok came to the cafe to have breakfast, though. He was really well built and handsome, no wonder he is considered to be an eligible bachelor. Think he lives at Nassim Road or somewhere near that area cauz heard frm my colleague, who works during the morning shift that he is kind of a regular customer of the cafe and i do see him walking past the cafe quite often while i was working. Envious of him man, guess there must be many gals out there who would like to be his GF hahaz. The only other artiste i saw was Lisa Ang, she was quite pretty. At first didnt recognise who she was, cauz she looks like some pretty gal out on the streets. But after a glance or 2, realise that she was Lisa. Was working with a butch that time, so the butch got quite excited upon seeing her, hehe.
Anyway nothing much happened during the weekend. Went out to have dinner with my close friends who booked out. And as usual chatted abt NS stuff. Was quite blur cauz not sure abt the terms used in NS, but it was still ok, able to catch up with what they say. Sunday was the most boring day, actually wanted to go make a pair of plastic glasses for NS but then was lazy so decided to stay at home. Realised that it was a bad choice cauz there was nothing to watch on TV. So guess i'll try to get out of the house on Sundays provided that i'm not working. That's abt it peeps, i'll cyAz......
Another boring day indeed, not even a single customer in the evening to keep me busy. Jus a few orders for drinks only. Well none of my business actually, since they don't appreciate me working there. Why do i say that? Cauz today i jus realise that i had three days off instead of the 2 days that i normally have. You peeps must be thinking that i must be crazy, i have one more day off and i'm angry abt it? Actually, i'm quite confused as well, dunno whether i shld be happy abt it or sad. Sad in a way that it seems like i have done something wrong which made them cut down my pay. Happy in another way that i dont have to go back to the place and can do my own things instead. It's all becauz of that stupid Operational Manager. I heard frm my assistant outlet manager that he was the one who wanted to cut down on the no. of staff working. Really wonder why me initially, but after a while got over it and decide not to think too much abt it. Really wonder why they hire such a stingy guy to do their work. Anyway think that's abt it for the day, will be going down to SDC to book my advance theory tomorrow, hope i don't have to wait too long for the test date. So CiAo peeps......
Hey peeps, nothing much to update for the past few days, so didnt post anything. As for today, was a little tiring as i had to work back-to-back again. There wasn't much for me to do today, due to the lack of customers, as usual. But one great thing is that my outlet manager has gone for her annual leave, so can practically eat anything we want, as long as we r not caught by the operational manager who frequently pops by our cafe to check on things. He's a damn irritating guy, only comes to our cafe to nag at this and that, as well as to make sure that the staff is doing something. So everytime he comes, we have to look for things to do, otherwise he'll ask u to do something. But seriously wondering whether he goes to other outlets as often as coming to ours, cauz it's a little bit unfair to us, always having to be on our toes. Anyway today i got to go home 1 hr earlier, as the person who's suppose to come in only at 5pm came in earlier together with her "boyfriend", who is the assistant manager and a butch. Oh forgot to tell u peeps that there r quite a few lesbians in my working place. Three butches and one les, which two of them r a couple. So the assistant manager allowed me to go off 1hr earlier, though i have to sacrifice 1hr of pay in exchange for that.
Anyway, working in an environment full of butches or shld i say lesbians is not as bad as what i thought it would be initially. They r quite nice generally, but i enjoy working with only one of them, cauz she is able to communicate with us much better than the other 2 butches. Unfortunately, i dont get to work with her as often nowadays cauz of our different shifts. Instead i have to work with this supervisor who's really really disgusting. He's quite a nice guy, in terms of character, but the way and the amount he eats disgust me alot. Whenever he's eating something, i tend to be outside at the counter, so that i avoid allowing myself to see him eat in such a disgusting way. Sometimes, the food that he eats tends to be very fattening as well. Like for eg. when eating some pastries, he would even at some whipped cream on it. U peeps will understand what i mean, after looking at his tummy, which is really really huge, hehe. Sorry if i sound a little bit mean, hehez. Guess that's abt it, don't wish to bore u any further with my work stuff. Too bad i dont have a life, so can't really put up anything interesting and exciting. Gotta go now, gonna catch my 9 o'clock show. CyAz.
Happy Chinese New Year peeps, knw it's a little bit late, but better late than nvr. Anyway, yesterday was generally a boring day for me, except when it was night time. Went to the same old relatives' place and collect the same no. of Hongbaos, but with total amt of money collected shrunk i guess, due to the economic downturn. Havent really opened any Hongbaos yet, cauz i generally do follow the tradition of opening it only on the 15th of the Lunar calendar. H/e, was thinking perhaps i shld be a little different this time round hehe. My close friends called me out at night to watch Shanghai Knights as well as to have a gathering, since some of them were released frm NS a few days ago. Wasn't really interested in watching the show and regretted watching it cauz it wasn't that funny after all. After the show, went to Boat Quay to have a drink, my first time actually, experiencing the night life there. Was kinda scared at 1st, cauz heard that it was a "messy" place. Didnt drink a lot, jus a cup (hope i used the correct term) of Heineken at a bar called Bq. Chatted alot abt NS stuff, since there were 3 of them who jus came out of NS. Was fun listening to their stories and experiences actually, learnt quite a few stuff as well. If i had gone in at the same time as them, then i would be able to enjoy many book out dates due to the no. of public hols, though the training is much tougher. Anyway one good thing abt my enlistment is that my BMT will not be that tough as my friends, due the different pes i'm in. That's abt it for yesterday....
As for today, my relatives came over to have a taste of my father's cooking as like every other years before. This year's dish was quite ok, but not as good as the previous times. My cousins didnt ask for more, which shows how bad the cooking was or mayb it wasnt to their liking. After that, had to leave for work, which was seriously boring. Felt quite stupid to work on the 2nd day of cny, but was too late to regret abt it. Went there and looked at the sales yesterday, it was only $100 plus, my god! Seriously wondering how the shop manage to survive till now. But what the heck, doesnt really concerns me, hehe. There wasn't many pple, so didnt do much, jus went there to do closing actually, haha. That's abt it for today, nothing much. Need to go already, since i need to go to my married aunt's place to visit her in the morning after which i will have to work. So i'll cyA soon then, tAtAz....
